As a Professional Makeup Artist your job is to fulfill a creative requirement. In a rapidly changing world in which computers are replacing people in so many areas of work we know for sure that no machine can ever replace the Makeup Artist. 

 

DO  I NEED A LICENSE TO DO MAKEUP?

in the state of California there is no licensing for Makeup Artistry 

No license required to work as a professional freelance Makeup Artist (within the film, television, entertainment industry), or if you are applying makeup professionally to recommend/sell cosmetic products (department store and/or freelance sales)

 DO I RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE?

Yes, upon successful completion of our Professional Courses, students receive a certificate. 

 

DO I RECEIVE PRO DISCOUNTS?

Yes, upon enrolling into our courses, all students get 20% Discount with MAC Cosmetics, 20% with The Makeup Shack, Brands like Khiels, House of Lashes, Pro Discounts 40+ the list goes on.

 

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO ENROLL?

13, but you need to have a parental or Guardian consent on hand and a copy of the parent or Guardian's Legal ID. 

 


WHAT TYPE OF WORK DOES A MAKEUP ARTIST DO?
The great benefit about a career in the Makeup industry is that work can be very diverse- some of the areas you can work in are-weddings, formals, Social Events, School proms, special occasions, film, television, fashion, photography, theatre, stage productions, makeup for advertising, catwalk, fantasy makeup, body painting, special effects makeup, talent to camera, feature films, video clips, musical productions, magazines, and makeup for television commercials. 

HOW DO I CHOOSE A SCHOOL TO BECOME A MAKEUP ARTIST?
 
Start by studying with a Professional makeup school. Ensure the trainers are currently working in the makeup industry and have extensive experience with an up to date portfolio that you can view. Schedule a tour or a phone call we are located in the city of Santa Ana, Our Modules are  constantly  updated, we also offer on going mentoring and Social Media training to guide you and prepare you to take clients.

DO I NEED TO FINISH HIGH SCHOOL?
While a high school diploma or completion is not a requirement, we do recommend you finish your high school studies and major in artistic subjects. Start to concentrate on skills in the drawing and painting department. 

DO I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO DO HAIR?
Hair is important to know the general basics of hair styling, some clients choose to have one artist, that offers both services.

WHAT KID OF COURSE DOES YOUR SCHOOL OFFER?

Pro Master Course 11 Weeks- Color theory, contour and highlight, day looks, evening looks, bridal, mature skin, Editorial, Avant-garde, Fantasy.
Pro Hairstyling Course- Styling, bridal, editorial, high fashion, fantasy.
Advance Pro Course- Advance Bridal, double cut crease, halo, Character makeup.
Workshops- 1 Day Classes both hands on and educational.
Personal one of one lessons. 

IS THIS A COSMETOLOGY SCHOOL?
No, this is a Makeup academy specializing in professional Makeup Artistry an Hairstyling.

WHAT IS THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE AND PROCEDURE?

Regular Registration is offer daily, We take up to 10 Students per session and spots fill up quickly, Is it recommended to register sooner than later.
You can register by Calling or texting 714-224-6427 or in person, you can request us to email you the form to complete your registration, we must have a deposit, the minimum deposit varies depending on course elected, deposits are non-refundable and go towards balance. 

HOW DO I PAY FOR THE SCHOOL?
We accept payment via, credit cards, zelle, cash, Apple Pay, You may pay in installments through in house financing. 

DO YOU OFFER FINANCIAL AID?
No, Sorry the minimum required by FAFSA is a 300+Hour course.

WHAT DO I BRING TO CLASS?
You need to bring notebook, pen and your current makeup kit.
